Mitch Allen
Bio
Mitch has been practicing law in Alabama and throughout the United States for over 27 years. Prior to joining the firm, Mitch was a senior shareholder in the Employment Law Section of Maynard Cooper & Gale, one of the largest Iaw firms in Alabama. Mitch's knowledge, experience and trial skills have been recognized by his election into Best Lawyers in America from 2005-2017 (Employment Litigation & Labor & Employment Law). He has also been selected by his peers for inclusion in Super Lawyers (Employment & Labor) for the last 10 years. He was honored to be given the highest attorney ranking by Martindale Hubbell, the AV Preeminent Rating. Before returning to private practice, Mitch was most recently the President of a group of affiliated insurance companies, providing insurance products and claims administration in Alabama and throughout the Southeast.
Mitch received his undergraduate degree from the University of Alabama in 1986 and his law degree from the University of Alabama School of Law in 1989. While in law school, Mitch was selected for the Alabama Law Review, where he was later elected to be the Student Works Editor on the Managing Board. He was also selected to the Moot Court Board and chosen to compete on the International Moot Court Team. After law school, Mitch served as a law clerk to Senior United States District Judge Seybourn H. Lynne of the Northern District of Alabama from 1989-1990. Mitch is licensed to practice in multiple jurisdictions, both in the State of Alabama and numerous other states. He is a member of the Birmingham Bar Association, the Alabama State Bar Association (Labor & Employment), and the American Bar Association.
